Hawaii wedding - what you should know about getting married in Hawaii

This post is sponsored by Easy Stretch Body/Mind Relaxation Video

As we all know Hawaii is not only the ultimate vacation destination but also the most favorite spot to get married. Keoki and I belong to the lucky people who got married on one of the most beautiful Hawaiian beaches surrounded by loving family and friends. Hawaii Wedding Get Married in HawaiiOur friend Sarah was leading the wedding walk to the beach playing beautiful tunes on her flute. Sunset was the magical time to exchange our wedding vows and receive the warm wishes from family and friends. The memory of these special moments will always be with us. And if we should forget, there is our Hawaiian wedding video to remind us of our unconditional love.

Here are some basic facts which you should know when getting married in Hawaii. Hawaii has no residency requirements or waiting period. If you are 19 years of age or younger, please bring your birth certificate (American citizens). If this is not your first marriage, no proof of prior divorce is required; however, you will be asked statistical information regarding the divorce. When you request a license information packet from Hawaii, you will receive a form, which you should complete at home. Bring the form along with you, in case your luggage is delayed or misplaced. A marriage license packet includes a License Application Form, and can be obtained by writing: State of Hawaii Department of Health, Marriage License Section, P.O. Box 3378, Honolulu, Hawaii 96801 or by calling (808) 586-4544 or by visiting their website at www.hawaii.gov/doh. Read more on getting married in Hawaii.

When getting married in Hawaii, you have lots of alternatives to choose from for the location for your Hawaii wedding apart from the traditional Hawaii beach wedding…like a small Hawaiian chapel, a beautiful tropical garden, by a hidden waterfall or at any of the Hawaii 5-star beach resorts. It all depends on your budget and expectations. First of all, you have to choose which Hawaiian Island you want to get married at and spend your Hawaiian honeymoon. Remember the weather is mostly nice and sunny in Hawaii and if you are on a budget, the spring months May and June are perfect for catching specials on Air Fares to Hawaii, car rentals and Hawaii vacation accommodations.
